Cennatoio: Saturday, June 20, 6:30pm
Cennatoio commands a stupendous view of the Chianti countryside with its hills blanketed by vineyards and olive orchards and soil ideal for varieties like Sangiovese, Trebbiano, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot. Four years ago, the estate adopted organic farming techniques, using only natural fertilizers and avoids herbicides to prevent losses to the bee population. The estate, former home to famed Italian Poet (and Dante's close friend) Guido Cavalcanti (c.1255-1300), is now a wine estate that Leandro and Gabriella Alessi have managed since 1971.
