A Classic Neapolitan Spring Tart

A Neapolitan tradition with centuries of history, La Pastiera is more than a dessert. It is a celebration of spring itself.  Originating in Naples, it was traditionally prepared by convents in the days leading up to Easter, combining ingredients that reflect the season. Wheat for rebirth, eggs for new life, and orange blossom for the arrival of spring.


 

At Emporio Rulli, our pastiera is made in the traditional style with creamy ricotta, soft wheat berries, and a delicate custard scented with citrus. The result is a texture unlike any other, rich yet light, with a gentle sweetness and a deeply aromatic finish.
