About This Pan di Siena

Pan di Siena is a traditional Tuscan fruit biscotti Gary Rulli learned to make while studying pastry in Milan more than 40 years ago. Inspired by a recipe from Pasticceria Salza in Pisa, this longtime Emporio Rulli favorite is made with acacia honey, golden raisins, Piedmont hazelnuts, almonds, citron, and candied orange.

Unlike traditional biscotti, Pan di Siena is baked only once. The result is a soft, moist, and chewy pastry rich with fruit, nuts, and honey. We've been making Pan di Siena at Emporio Rulli for over four decades, and customers continue to seek it out year after year.
